Tara Gush, @tara_elizabeth_gush


Tara is a powerhouse of transformation, blending over 20 years of expertise in education, behavioral modification, and holistic wellness to help others break through life’s toughest transitions. From classrooms to boardrooms, she’s spent decades guiding both humans (and their dogs) toward growth, resilience, and connection.

Her journey is personal—shaped by overcoming childhood trauma, navigating divorce, and rebuilding through business loss. Tara channels her lived experiences into every workshop, retreat, and class she leads, creating a space where others can shift, evolve, and thrive. As a certified, trauma-informed breathwork facilitator and holistic stress management coach, she fuses neuroscience, breathwork, somatic movement, and mindset work to unlock lasting transformation.

Tara believes that how we breathe is how we live

—mastering the breath means mastering emotions, tapping into personal power, and living with intention. When she’s not leading SHIFT experiences, you’ll find her biking, roller skating, dancing, or plunging into cold water just for fun.

Meet Your Hosts

Nick Harris, @blakk_wylde

Nick has a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from St Mary’s College of California, graduating in 2021. During his time at St Mary’s, Nick played Division 1 collegiate rugby and American football. His experience as a Division 1 athlete inspires his continued passion for movement. He discovered yoga in 2015, becoming a daily practitioner in 2018. The more Nick got on his mat, the more he fell in love with the practice of yoga and the incredible benefits it had on his heart, body and mind.

This led him to taking and completing his 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2021 with Patrick Beach and Carling Harps at the Awakening Yoga Academy. Since becoming certified, Nick has taught over 1,300 hours worth of classes, led and facilitated yoga teacher training, taught the NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers, the 2023 National Champions St. Mary’s Rugby Team, and the Portland University Men’s Basketball Team, conducted 1:1 yoga mentorships, and has led several yoga retreats and workshops throughout the United States.
